                      September Program
    New Haven's historic Centennial Cemetery is the September program of the New Baltimore Historical Society. Local historians Marilyn Kaate, Rich Gonyeau and George Drake will describe this colorful cemetery located on Clark Street in the Village of New  Haven.
     The founders of Lenox Township and New Haven will be featured during the program including A.H. Hazelton, the Lemmons and the Duncans. The Lemmon story will also include the "first days" of New Haven and their many encounters with young Tom Edison. The stories of more recent figures including Carl Hofan and the legendary Beatrice "Mama" Bea Perry will also be featured.
     And Drake, President of Save Our Depot, will provide the history of the old Grand Trunk Railroad Depot and its current restoration.
     Centennial Cemetery is also the site of the annual Cemetery Walk. Hosted by Save Our Depot and the New Baltimore Historical Society, this year's walk takes place on Saturday, October 6 at 1 PM.
     The cemetery program takes place Thursday, September 20 at 7 PM at the First Congregational Church Youth Building located at 36223 Alfred in New Baltimore. There is a  one dollar admission for this program.
